Plan and organize production schedules to meet project deadlines and customer requirements.
Monitor work progress and ensure adherence to quality control procedures and safety guidelines.
Train and mentor fabrication team members, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and performance.
Collaborate with the engineering and design teams to interpret technical drawings and specifications, ensuring accurate fabrication processes.
Maintain inventory levels of raw materials and consumables, coordinating with procurement to replenish supplies as needed.
Conduct regular inspections of equipment and machinery, identifying maintenance needs and ensuring proper functioning.
Troubleshoot fabrication issues and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and optimize productivity.
Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders to provide updates on fabrication progress and address any concerns or requirements.
Foster a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement within the fabrication department.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical education or certification in welding or fabrication is preferred.
Proven experience as a fabrication foreman or similar leadership role in a structural steel or aluminum fabrication company.
Strong knowledge of fabrication techniques, equipment, and materials, with expertise in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and attention to detail, with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in the fabrication industry.
